Congratulations to City University!

Congratulations to City University! I extend my heartfelt congratulations to its graduates who have accomplished a remarkable milestone. What sets this long-awaited graduation apart is that these students are the pioneering graduates of the university, equipped with an exceptional determination and a keen vision to address the immense challenges burdening humanity, both locally and globally.

City University came into existence in 2012, a period when the shadows of the civil war persisted. Despite this challenging backdrop, the university's board displayed resolute determination, dedicating themselves to its transformation into a contemporary institution of academic excellence and intellectual sanctuary.

It is noteworthy to mention that Dr. Afyare A. Elmi, one of the trailblazers at the university, has authored numerouspublications in which he passionately discusses the themes of "peace." Likewise, Dr. Bariise, the university chancellor, has authored numerous in-depth writings focusing on Islam, promoting peaceful coexistence, and strengthening our state's unity.

The peace message ingrained in the university's tradition by the Chancellor, board of trustees, the Deans, and the graduating students serves as a testament to their five years of arduous work and unwavering perseverance.

Above all else, it signifies a unified stance against anything that poses a threat to humanity in Somalia, such as insecurity, inadequate leadership, and poverty. Fortunately, there exists a flawless remedy to these challenges: the cultivation of proficient leaders who are equipped with the skills to enact transformative change and uplift our nation.

Congratulations once again on becoming the newest graduates produced by the university today. Congratulations on the exceptional knowledge and skills you have acquired, which will undoubtedly propel you forward in tackling challenges and engaging as active participants.
