Photo of me by Somali Universal tv- an interview I gave to the tv on Jan 26, 2021. |
In an
interview I gave to Universal tv, I first shared my deep condolence to the
civilians who are hurt in Balad-Hawa fighting.
On one hand, I traced to what happens in Baladxawa a
historic failure once faced our country back in the 80s where part of the Somali
family who felt dissolution has defected to Somalia's 'adversary' as
the regime was reigning Somalia that era could claim- the defectors were
getting back to strife against the Siyad Barre dictatorship former Somali
Somali president came to power through junta. On the other hand, I shed a light
on the ironic statement released by Kenya soon after the Baled-Hawa war and
further was giving tacit contradiction of Kenya by Showing concerns on what it
said “Kenya primary concern is that the renewed fighting engender large scale
displacement of civilians inside Somalia and increase generates large numbers
of refugees” The question I raised in the interview was— if Kenya is that
worried about displacing people then why are they backing the Abdi Janan that some
Kenyan member parliament said publicly statements loosely be a testimony by
backing a 'fugitive' and why are they also not concerned about the
insecurity that Mandera residents face by keeping armed militia in a Kenyan
population of 830K?
I also argued the demand from Jubaland state and some
oppositions who called the Somali government to withdrawn SNA from Baladxawo
has put the gov embarrassment position and wasn't judicious- because Kenya has
reported it has thronged immense of security agencies, police, and defense
specialist officers in Mandera county— which could worsen the situation of
Somali citizens in Baladxawo who had witnessed riot with the result border
tension started from president HShM tenure.
In the interview, I also stressed that the Somalia
government has shortened to bring prolific policies apart from SNA's presence
in Gedo because a constructive political stream would work on mediating between
local people, fostering rules and regulation has failed Janan and Madobe, and
the government has never got a strategy about appointing capable mayor could
govern Gedo while avoiding similar current lethal war.
I concluded a piece of advice to vet revising policies
has been taken and a call for prevailed wisdom.
